San Miguel Purefoods - Great Food Solutions presents Arte Filipino: A Philippine Food and Arts Festival

San Miguel Purefoods - Greatfood Solutions and Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa brings together the country's most prolific chefs, Myrna Segismundo and Glenda Barretto, and San Miguel Purefoods Culinary Center's very own Chef Sonny Ong to celebrate the Philippines' rich cultural and culinary traditions through Arte Filipino: A Philippine Food and Arts Festival.

The two-week festivity kicked off last August 20, 2007 with an opening dinner attended by DOT Secretary Ace Durano and Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia. The event highlights Filipino artistry and well-loved native dishes using San Miguel food products, as interpreted by the three chefs. The menu consists of lechon paella, pinais na alimasag, bangus kinilaw sa suka at gata, bistek batangena, among others.
